I had the same issue where the power light flashed 16 times and the problem happened to be the Duty c solenoid and ultimately torque bind. i didnt want to take any chances of having it repaired and i just bought another transmission. cost was about the same though

Thanks guys for the help. im going to try and put the spare on the back and put the fuse in to see if it works. will let you know the outcome

Hey subie lovers, i drive a 96 legacy GT and had transmission problems #torque bind#. i then replaced my tranny with an aftermarket one. I recently had a flat and had to put the small spare tire on and the car was shaking violently while driving. i put it on the front passenger side. i later read about the FWD fuse under the hood which is to used incase of a flat. however when i put the 10A fuse in, the display on my dash is not FWD but it shows DIFF LOCK. my differentials actually lock instead f goind into FWD mode. what could be my problem?
