  1. Hello Fellow subi lovers! I have done extensive research on what rim and wheel sizes will fit the 1990-1999 outbacks as i have a 1997 limited 2.5L. I know i want 17x7.5 alloys to replace the 15x6s that come with the car but i am confused about the offset and centre bore. the OEM specifications say +55 offset so as to prevent premature wear on the bearings but many forums and tire listings suggest that +48 is the way to go for the OBW. Also, the Centre Bore has got me confused! The OEM specs for the 1997 subaru legacy outback say a centre bore of 58.1mm is correct but as before, many forum threads and tire listings are saying that a 56.1mm bore would work fine! I am quite confused and getting discouraged. I want to eventually do an OBSTi build and i am good in the eingine department and am learning about the wiring systems as well but the suspension and tires got me beat! Any advice would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!
