  1. You guys nailed it - rusted behind the shroud...good for another 110K:) Thanks!
  2. Hi, I have a 98 OB (auto) w/110k. When getting gas 3 tanks ago, the auto shut-off failed and I ended up with a ‘full to brim’ tank. No problems, no CEL but ever since after I shut the car off gas drips on the floor for 5 minutes or so. Appears to be in the area of the fill neck but due to much rain it has been hard to pinpoint. The next 2 tanks I only filled to ¾ full but the drips still occur. No prior history of this problem prior to the shut-off failure. Any thoughts as to what may have happened?? :-\
  3. Have a 98 Outback, auto, 100k - appears rear main is leaking. Oil appears on garage floor if the car is not driven for a week or more. Front of engine is dry (oil pump addressed 2 yrs ago) - valve covers look dry. What should I except this cost to be? Thanks!
  4. JeffK, Just curious, any update on your key problem??
  5. I have a ‘98 Outback and have had 2 occurrences of not being able to turn the ignition to the lock position to allow me to remove the key. I tried moving the shifter, steering wheel and the key – all to no avail. Last night, after waiting about 1 hour, I went out to the garage and the ignition turned to lock and I was able to remove the key normally. Could something just have just need to cool? Thoughts on what I should look at??
