  1. Thank you. so there is 2 pistons required from subaru - or version 2 pistons? if it is 2 pistons - what was changed compared to the other ones? thanks sam
  2. I am looking for a good source for a full engine rebuild kit (gaskets and pistons/bearings). What are some good companies? so far all I have found is re-ring kits or "performance" kits. It is a non turbo - and I would just like an oem rebuild kit. The thing has major piston slap and leaks oil bad. also - what about a clock spring? thank you sam
  3. Hi new member here. Me and my wife just bought a 98 forester for a great price. We wanted a awd vehicle for her (my dodge stealth TT is awd) because our driveway is a little steep. Anyway Here are a few questions The airbag light is on. The used car salesman said that there where plugges under the dash (under the steering column) that where unplugged. He didn't want to plug them back in because his mechanic told him the airbag might deploy. It wasn't a big selling point but either way - we would like to either get the air bags working or totally disable them. The cruise does not work. The light on the dash turns on but the controls on the column do not work. Could this also be because of the plugs that are unplugged under the dash? does anyone have a wiring diagram of what is under the dash? I will also check the brake switch tomorrow. This is a automatic. Thanks sam
