So okay wrx parts sounds good. The engine has had new plugs at around 199 thousand miles it just had a new air filter the previous owner said new fuel injectors around 180 thousand it's got over 202 thousand on it right now. The engine runs well goes through the rev range well just sounds like there's a compressor going off at idle maybe a pump but not sure and it doesn't smell well when it's driving not oily but like its not burning the fuel well and it leaks oil like every Subaru as well that's why I'm thinking of a rebuild also I would like to put a turbo on it for a bit more HP

So I have a 1996 Subaru legacy outback and I was wondering if A. I can get way with STI rims on my car and B. If I got some STI breaks with caplier mounts would they fit? Any feed back would be great getting sick of the stock rims and want to spice up the car a little bit. Also were would be a good place to look for a engine rebuild kit for my 2.2l its not runing well or cleanly and it could use some tlc.

Hi I have a couple of questions regarding my 1996 Legacy with the 2.2 Liter Engine. The first one is im wondering what might be causing my 5 Speed Manual to have issues finding mainly reverse and 3rd gear there always seem to be a tricky to find when shift or trying to get out of parking spot. Also along with that problem the reverse lights stop working. A slightly different problem is that the car when at any speed over 10mph with the clutch in doesnt like going into first gear it tends to grind or just simply not go in. (Only usually do that when stoping at a red light.) Then with the 2.2 Liter I was wondering what seems to be a sensor on the top of the engine nearer to the radiator is because it seems to be my main source of leaking oil. Thanks Minimac1010
