  1. i will have to try that, makes good sense. except would it kill the fuel gauge too? i did make sure it has fuel in the tank but reads empty
  2. I have been searching thee forums for ideas but have not seen a similar post. my 1994 legacy died while driving. Now the fuel pump is not getting power, on the dash the fuel gauge is not working. there is no spark, and when i put the clutch in the temperature gauge goes up. So engine does crank over fine just with no fuel or spark. I am wondering if the ECU may have failed. There are no ECU codes I don't want to just throw random parts on it hoping to find the right one. I have checked all the fuses and cleaned all the grounds i can find. Anyone have any ideas?
