  1. 97 OBW, Ventilation setting is "stuck"

    This is a really old thread, but here's hoping that someone can offer advice. Our 97 Outback has the same problem - only very rarely will the vent location change, and then I can change it to any setting, until it gets stuck again. I'd like to check the solder on the circuit board. We have taken out the HVAC control unit (and replaced the bulbs), but can't get the circuit board out of it. Can someone give me guidance on that or direct me to that information? Thanks, Beth
