Thanks for the reply. I think the engine mount may be the one at fault, but then shouldn't that cause a vibration regardless of the RPM? I think i will bring it back to another dealership to see whats wrong with it. Thanks

Got a 99 Legacy GT with the 2.5 engine. The engine vibtates when rev to between 1800-3100 RPM.. The mechanic at Subaru said its normal and its a common problem with these 2.5 engines... he said it has something to do with the EGR valve.. is this true? can this be fixed?

BTW the car is AUTO Hmm, I have a question, the dealership said that its normal for the engine to vibrate a bit between 2500 and 3000 RPM, it was due to a problem with the EGR valve.. is this true? I still have some warranty left of the extended warranty, if this vibration is something that can be fix, I will want it fix.

Hi all, I am new to this site, but not new to a automotive base forum. My question is this, I have a 99 Subaru Legacy (Outback, I am confused with this Outback brand, some suggest that its a term used for the Legacy only, some said it means wagon, while I saw plenty of Impreza wagon with Outback branded), unfotunately, I am having that problem of engine vibrating at 2500 rpm, anyways, my real question is, has anyone ever try putting a turbo charger in these 2.5 engine? Does such thing exist? Is there a kit that can be purchase?
