  1. I have an '09 Subaru Impreza and recently encountered a problem where the fuel gauge will read half full, or full (depending on how much gas I actually have in the car), but the gauge will drop to empty suddenly when driving, stay like that for a few minutes, and then go back up to the correct reading. This will happen on and off every 5-10 minutes while driving, but the check engine light has not come on. Would this be a sensor issue, fuel pump issue, or something else? Hopefully someone else here has encountered this issue because Google only shows people the same issue but with a check engine light on or the gauge never going back up. Thanks in advance!
