    My 2002 Forester L manual transmission got 27mpg driving from Mass. to Ark. I have had as low as 21 mpg but the overall average for the last 4000 miles which includes highway and city is 24.4 mpg.

    I recently purchase a 2002 Subaru Forester on ebay. I am happy with the purchase overall but there are a couple of issues. The one i am concerned with is clutch jutter. I have 54,000 miles on the odometer. I called SOA and was told the only way they would cover it under warranty is if the flywheel was faulty. Have any of you had experience with this? I live in central Arkansas and there are only two dealers in the entire state.
