  1. Why is '97 Outback Muffler SO Expensive??

    I've been told that when my Legacy Outback needs a new muffler to start a savings account, because it's about $1200, even from midas! Why is this? Now mine is starting to get loud, and I'm wondering if there is a cheaper alternative to shelling out this much money for a new exhaust system. Thanks
