  1. Thank you, GD. I failed to mention that the good engine from the 2000 Outback is mated to an auto trans. The 2005 Outback is stick shift. Can you think of any particular incompatibilities regarding the various electrical and emissions plug-ins / connections?
  2. Hi All - I'd like to swap the engine from a 2000 Outback, engine type: EJ251AXAW into a 2005 Outback, which also has an EJ engine type: EJ253ASAFB. I'm guessing that because they're both EJ 2.5 liter engines, that this would work just fine, but would appreciate any input regarding the project. Thanks very much. Bob
