Looked at a 2001 H6-3.0 LL Bean Edition this evening for a very good price (as in won't be around after tomorrow morning). The only thing holding me back is the only unusual thing I noticed on my test drive. There is a whine from the left front when letting off the accelerator at seemingly any speed above about 15 mph. It is road speed dependent not engine speed dependent. Under acceleration I here nothing unusual. First thought was wheel bearing, but having done some research on here and other places I suppose it could be differential or transmission. Any thoughts would be appreciated!
