    I have a bad 2.5 dohc motor in my 97 legacy outback. has anyone tried to swap in a 2.5 sohc. Maybe just the short block.

    First post on this site. I have a 97 2.5 DOHC outback. Pulled engine and removed the heads for a gasket change (overheating problem). Checked the block and its warped over .005. Now what to do? Loooking for a good used block. Please let me know if anyone out there has one. The 2.5 liter dohc blocks seem scarce I heard you could use a sohc block. Does anyone have any knowledge of this? Great Site!
