  1. 2000 legacy gt transmission issue

    I recently acquired a 2000 Legacy gt limited sedan and was told that the transmission is shot. More specifically, the front differential. I've been told conflicting stories about the compatibility of transmission. Some have told me that it is 1999/2000 gt only. And others have said that 2000-2006 will fit and work properly as long as gear ratio matches. I'm well aware that the ratio has to be the same but the conflicting information about compatibility of the valve body and such is what has me concerned. Please, if you have any information on this, don't hesitate to offer it up. I'm not inept, or anything and have experience working on cars, but this conflict is too much. Tia
