  1. Hi, short version: If I (re)program my Alpine system remote on my '02 OB at least 4 times it should not work with any other cars. Right? long version: We have two Outbacks, a '99 and an '02. I programmed two Alpine system keyless entries to work with both cars, so my wife and I would each have access to each car. We had a QS remote starter installed in the '99, they said they couldn't get around the alarm so we had to buy their transmitter that locks/ unlocks the doors and starts the car remotely. We bought 2, one for each of us. It gets confusing with two transmitters on your key chain, we're always setting the alarm off by locking it with one and unlocking it with the other. I thought it would be easy enough to delete the '99 codes from our original Alpine system transmitters by, following the manual instructions, reprogramming the '02 at least 4 times. Shouldn't that make the '99 not work any longer with the original Alpine system transmitters? As you've guessed by now, it does not. Ideas? Thanks in advance, Mark
