  1. thanks for reply...oil seems to be coming from all directions! oil, oil, everywhere oil! without it in front of me (at the shop now) its hard to say, maybe most from the middle or back of the engine block? could oil leak have anything to do with "intake"?
  2. howdy, semi-clueless owner of "86 GL wagon with recurring oil leaks. Great story: bought the wagon 2 years ago from a bud for $400. Had 55,000 miles in '02. my buddy had bought it from an OLD lady in "99 with, get this, 13,0000 miles. Literally to church and the grocery store once a week. She's red and she's beautiful. I've taken her everywhere. she's like a member of the fam. very excited about tapping into this wealth of knowledge. I've never loved an automobile like i do this one. she is the first car i ever paid my own money for and i want her to last forever. anyways, i replaced the radiator, new front axel (cv joint), and few other minor things. she has had a constant oil leak...tried a couple of temp remedies (like disregarding it and feeding her oil like she was from texas), but finally took her to a trusted? mechanic yesterday who said the major leak was from the intake. any thoughts on this? i know suubs are notorious for oil leaks...what to do? the intake? your thoughts are greatly appreciated
