  1. It doesn't have to be the EA81 motor?
  2. After several hours online and calling parts houses I am coming up empty. Does anybody know of a parts supply that might carry this part?
  3. Got it out so now the hunt for a new one starts....
  4. Got it out so now the hunt for a new one starts....
  5. Do you know if the bolt holding the crank pulley is right or left thread? It is tighter than hell and I'm trying not to turn the crank with it...
  6. We finally got it out... The dist froze and shredded the gear on the crank... Do I have to pull the motor and split the case to get to it?
  7. If I remove the plug in the pic can I get access to the gear at the bottom of the shaft?
  8. Front passenger side. I checked the vin on a link somebody posted here. It was produced 10/83
  9. Thanks, I am going to try the slide hammer trick real gently. I wasn't looking forward to dismantling every thing to get to the crank seal. This was just going to be a project and now it sounds like work... Lol
  10. It is wedged.. Now I cant even turn it. What am I going to damage if I pop the reluctor of the shaft and try moving it with vise grips? I can't find an exploded view of where the shaft lines up with the cam gear.
  11. The dist is jammed in there. I tried to lift it out and can turn it a couple degrees but it is jammed solid. Any ideas on getting it out without causing more damage?
  12. It's an 84... Going to pull the dist and see what I can see.... Just saw that it had gears but read they were pretty bulletproof.
  13. Well I just pulled off the distributor cap and nothing. The damn timing belt must have broke.... I had spark a couple days ago so it must have happened since then. Guess its time to get dirty, any advice?
  14. I didn't take the temperature into account, we were in the high 20's last night and now that it is warming up it is back up to 45. It might not have any leakage.
