  1. Me and my buddy changed the front main seal and the oil pump to my ea71 and now the car will start up but wont stay running unless we feed it a lil starter fluid in park or just keep pumping the gas. When idling in park i kick it into any gear and it wants to shut off immedietly. any suggestions?
  2. Hey what's up guys.just joined the forum. I have a 1978 Subaru Dl.Ive had it for around 4 or 5 years. Its bill of repairs is looking a little hefty so I figure maybe why not take out a loan eventually and basically tear it apart restore it and possibly convert to manual with some type of modern engine to make it easier to find parts and keep maintenance up. Don't think a newer Subie engine will fit. (Havnnt looked at specs yet) Looking for advice on what might be a suitable new setup for my little car. And yes this is probly crazy but I really like the idea. Any suggestions?
