Hello everyone,
I am about to change the fuel filter on my 1999 Forester EJ25 Automatic.
I have moderate experience with DIY repair on other cars I have owned but I am not familiar with the Subaru.
Is there anything special I need to do when I change the fuel filter? Do I need to remove the fuel pressure from the supply line and if so, how do I go about doing that?
Thank you for any responses,
A.J.

Hi to all,
I have a 1999 Forester and for the past week I have been getting an intermittent CEL with a code of P0325 (knock sensor).
Could someone please tell me where the knock sensor on my car is located.
Is it on the driver side as I suspect?
The only manual I have is a Haynes for a 1998 Legacy and it states that to remove the sensor the intake manifold must be removed first. I see other messages that state it is a 15 to 20 minute job.
If any pictures are available for a '99 Forester that would also be greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance,
A.J.

What is the definition of an Interference type engine? What is it's advantage supposed to be?
Thanks,

I have a 1998 Forester with the gauge pack on the dash board. Suddenly the temperature display is stuck on 48 degrees regardless of actual temperature. Can someone tell me where the actual temperature sensor is located and has anyone ever experienced this problem
Thank you for any assistance.
