Just go a call from a friend, they told me that the high school in town just had a bond fire this past weekend. So not nothing new, it was Prom weekend, big deal, well she told to so sit down cuase I would cry in a minute , (can you see it yet).
They had put a mid 80's GL in the middle of it. Why.
(crying)
It had a no engine, perfectly fine body and interior.
WHY, couldn't it been a Honda or Chevy or Dodge anything but a Subaru.
If it was the I think it was, I wanted the driver seat from it. It would have been a great part car. Maybe I would have put my engine it and it be my dd car and the one I have now be parts. To late now.
I wont fine out till I get back.
Go in peace to the parking lot in the sky.

He's talking about the shop in Anchorage, and just about anyone on the board would mirror those comments, although I don't think they're really commies. More like capitalist pigs.
LOL
Whats funny is that I got her from the AAASubaru shop in Anchorage.
So torxxx all I have to pay is the gas. Sounds good but Im going to be gone for about three weeks.

I call the guy up he basicly said cuase that sense it is a turbo that it wont last to much longer and that I shoudnt dump whole lot of money it to it. Is this true? I had big plans for the car like putting a lift on it and a nice system in it. What should I do? I'm a big girl and not prone to crying but I dont want to lose the best car I have ever had. Does any one know what he means or hear of this? All I need to do is the wiring to the headlights.

Thanks Nouthguy.

I dont know if this is the right place to ask but I need some help. Where on the Kenai Peninsula (outside of Homer) is a good subaru mechanic. Mine curnet one is a rump roast, I dont think he knows anything about Subarus. I could get up to Anchorage but that means a two day trip. I also need a body shop to deal with the rust. Please help me. I love my subaru. I done all I can but she needs.
This is a BIG cry for HELP from Homer. Dont let my baby die.

Full fellowship does not start until you have at least three Subies in the front yard
Does it count that my landlord told to lose two of the cars (all three subies) or I would have move out.

I have a similar problem when the temp is +20F or below it reves to about 3000rpm then down to 1500rpm then back up it does this untill the engine warms up 30mins to 1hour later depends on how cold it is. I mostly wait till the windshield clears up then off I go. I get allot of looks when I stop.

Is there much good offroading near Homer? A trip down there would be fun:D !
Only for spring breakup with all the mud and that means alot driveways. Anchor Pont's North Fork RD is good (last time I was out it about two years ago)
northguy is right about there is a lot of beach access.
-
Ok If you meet in the vally or anchorage in April tell me, please and I'll try my best to make it. Its only a 4 1/2 hours (3 1/2 if no cops) drive from Homer. you can email me though PM.

I got one
87 GL-10 wagon "The Galloping Red Chicken with Windows"
I didnt name it, I give that credit to my friend Jesse. He allway comes up with something.

I like to thank you for coming back to post your solutions.
I'm wondering though - did you use a meter to check out the circuits?
I found that the ground wire was bad I fix it then I did something and BAM both headlights dim on low then out on high, realy bad for driveing in Alaska at 5:30am (Its realy black with out headlights) so when the cop pulled me over (I had my hazards going) I had to take it the shop (it was going there any way but I ended up with a cop ecort; not the way I wanted to start off my Monday) and they said the relay was bad but that I did good on fixing the bad ground. This all cost me $50 shop time and a $50 fix-it ticket and a $20 cab ride to and from work. What fun!
-
Ok it's been a bit from the first post so, Have you fix the problem yet?
I want to know who won.
-
It took a bit but I got it fix. It was two problems, 1. bad ground 2. bad relays. I like to thank you all for helping me out.

I did one in -30C weather last year, it only took a few hours. Just remember how it comes apart (take a picture or make a drawing if you need to). That way, no leftover bolts.
The first time I did mine it took about 25min and it was about 0F, and I'm a girl.

Wish me luck

Ok an update. I have been out of town for the last few weeks (more like a month and a half) and I tryed to get back before they move the car and get some pictiures of, just my luck its gone no one seems to know where it went. bummer. But on the good side one of the High school students that set the fire to the car, no longer has his truck, hit a moose then the dicth, its gone. Now thats justice.
