The gasket heads, cylinder heads and the cat is done on it to. I just don’t know how much it’s even worth.

98 legacy outback 2.5l no turbo timing belt
Just recently my timing belt went out and I don’t know if it damaged anything else but I was wondering if anyone knew where to get cheap parts or the average price of fixing this.

1998 Subaru Legacy outback 2.5l head gasket or cylinder head
The issues I am having with this car is that I am losing both oil and coolant and there is no leaks that I can find (no oil or coolant on the ground) I have looked up both the signs of a bad head gasket and cylinder head and can’t figure out which one. Also my catalytic converter is starting to take a spoob on me. I am seeing all the signs of either the gasket or cylinder head but can’t figure out which one. Also I seem that I can’t find a video showing me how to change these. Can’t afford a mechanic.

Fuel pump check valve location 98 Subaru Legacy outback 2.5l engine 190k miles
I’m having an issue with my car where when I start it up it sputters and the rpms bounce up and down a little bit but after like 5-10 seconds it stops and runs fine. I read that it’s my fuel pump check valve and I’m wondering if this is correct and if it is then where is it located.

1998 Subaru Legacy outback spark plug change
Chrisg12222 replied to Chrisg12222's topic in 1990 to Present Legacy, Impreza, Outback, Forester, Baja, WRX&WrxSTI, SVXI just used an Engine diagnostic tool on it and it pretty much showed that it is either the engine coil and or spark plugs that need to be changed. It said that the cylinder four is miss firing and the catalyst efficiency is below normal

1998 Subaru Legacy outback spark plug change
Hello i am trying to change my spark plugs in this vehicle. The issues that I am having with the vehicle is that when I go to drive it in the morning even in warm weather the speedometer doesn’t move until I hit the 2nd or 3rd gear and it’s sort of sluggish starting off. Then when I’m on the interstate my vehicle starts to jerk at 60+ mph and when I have the ac on it jerks at 40 mph. I am hoping it’s just the spark plugs and if it is would someone have a comprehensive guide on changing them?
