  1. Well, I wish I read this thread before I brought the car in! No big deal, but I paid $25 to have the shop tell me everything is fine. They didn't see any leak. Oh well, at least I got some new wipers and an oil change.
  2. Interesting...my 2000 OBW had the exact same thing happen. My wife and I were shoveling more than two feet of snow (!!!) from the front of the driveway and pulled the car out to shovel the other half. When we moved the car, I noticed green drops in the snow. Nothing major, only a few drops, maybe an ounce or two at the most, but a concern of course. Because of the snow, it was hard to tell how much coolant leaked. Well, needing an oil change, and my wiper motor checked out, I brought it in today. I'll let you know what they say about the coolant issue.
  3. Howard, i did a search and found some relatively useful info, but nothing as to how to replace this light. Did I miss something? I did a search for "heated mirror light" and that returned two threads and then just "heated mirror" which returned a few more but nothing right on point. Thanks.
  4. My repair shop (very trustworthy) said that the light can only be replaced as part of the whole assembly. If I could just take a cheap LED from Radio Shack and tap into the existig circuit, then run the light just outside the door, that would be fine. How big a job is it to open up that part of the door? Can anyone confirm the coils in the back of the seat and let me know how to troubleshoot this? Is it an expensive fix?
  5. Hi, I have a 2000 Outback with the all-weather package, purchased used last year with 59,000 miles in excellent condition. I was wondering if the heated seats are supposed to be heated from both the bottom and the back? Mine only heat from the bottom. Also, the little LED that should light up when the heated mirrors are on is dead. Is there any way of replacing this? It is very difficult to tell if the button is depressed without that light. There have been times that I find the button depressed (on) and I know it has probably been that way for weeks. Is this going to burn out the heating element? Thanks for any help!
