    the fuel injected thing is weird. yes and no. looks like a carb but has electronic parts. kind of the crossover years

    I am pretty sure I am having a fuel pump issue. Driving down the road at 55mph and the engine just cut off, no fuel. Wouldn't start back. Pulled it back to the house and removed a fuel hose to the carb/EI and as suspected, no fuel. The issue is, I had ordered what Rock Auto said was the replacement fuel pump ($39) and it looks nothing like what is on mine. Scouring the internet for ( SPECTRA PREMIUM SP1319 - $255, also looks as if it has to be manufactured, b/c delivery date is 1-2 MONTHS- looks the same as mine. Are people adapting a different pump instead of using this very expensive replacement?
