  1. Turbo XT timing belt install?

    desertmoron posted a topic in Old Gen.: 80's GL/DL/XT/Loyales...
    I bought an 87 subaru AWD turbo XT that had a bad timing belt and i cannot get it to run - i assumed the little round holes in the cam sprocket should line up w/ the little slot marks in the top of the housing w/ the crank at TDC. although everything spins, the motor appears to have no compression. i can only assume that i either have it together wrong or the valves have been bent. also what would the firing order be and i was told the #1 cylinder is the front pass side cylinder. any suggestions? thanks
