    II. The only other thing that comes to mind would be a reduction of coolant flow. A. Restriction/blockage. B. Water pump impeller erosion. Do you have antifreeze in your cooling system? If the rad freezes at the bottom then the engine temp will rise very rapidly. This happened to my engine once, it was so bad that a head bolt had unscrewed completely and was bouncing around!
