  1. My FR wheel has been making a sharp 'screeching/squeling' sound. It comes in and out, but is pretty much constant, especially on the highway. Its especially loud on sharp turns. Is this a sensor telling me that I need to get my brake pad changed? Or is it just the sound that makes when the pads are completely gone. I had it checked last May and front pads were at 75%. However, I put a lot of miles on it since then, including many 100+ mile trips from Denver to the mountains. I'm thinking my pads are gone. Is this a good assumption? I've tested the brakes on the highway and they seem to work just fine.
  2. Thanks for the tips! It looks like i just have to take off the cupholder and its pretty simple from there! I'm glad I don't have to take the whole dash off (I did on a Camaro) I'll be getting new speakers eventually. Roof rack is the next purchase, though. And then a bike to put on it.
  3. Hello all, new to the board. I've been the owner of a beautiful 2002 Impreza RS for about 4 months now, and its time to upgrade the stereo. The guy at circuit city said I didn't need a mounting kit, that my deck should fit (It is a Pioneer Premier w/ removable face.) I've done plenty of stereo installs before, and the wiring should be no problem. My only question is where do I start to take apart the dash around the stereo? Are there a few simple screws to undo, or do I have to take off the entire dash? Thanks!
