Hello, I am creating a survey about the most common problems of Subaru cars. Later I will post it here and I hope everybody will actively participate. One of the questions will be the list of problems and respondents will be asked to check the ones they have experienced. First problem in my list would be Head Gasket blow The problem is that I am a specialist neither in cars nor in English language, so maybe anybody could help me with that? Regards, Tom

Hello, Few days ago we made cooling system test for our Subaru Legacy Outback, 1998. During the test the color of the coolant changed. The garage master told us that such test results shows that cooling system is not hermetic and the coolant gets into the engine system. He suspects that the intermediate gum might be broken and even it could affect the head. Maybe anybody has also faced this problem - I would be very thankful if you could share your experiences with interpretation of cooling system test results and the possible salvations of the problem. I have got info that Code Alarm System used on Impreza through 2000 model Legacy through 1998 model Forester 1998 model which does not has alarm at all, only central lock and imobilizer in the key.

Hello, Can anybody explain how to enable Subaru Legacy Outback(1998) native code alarm system. The problem is that I can't trigger alarm, I have tried to shake car, to open car without disabling alarm, but nothing happens. In user manual says that car comes with CODE ALARM SYSTEM, but maybe it is only the name *ALARM*, maybe it cames with simple central lock system? Thanks, Tom
