134a capacity in a '94 Legacy?
rsthj replied to rsthj's topic in 1990 to Present Legacy, Impreza, Outback, Forester, Baja, WRX&WrxSTI, SVXUnfortunately, the sticker for the '94 donor is missing. (I'm doing a retrofit into a 90) I imagine the specs for the 96 are very close...

134a capacity in a '94 Legacy?
Greetings, Does anybody have quick access to the a/c specs for a '94 Legacy? I'm trying to find the proper amount of 134a to recharge an evacuated system. Thanks much, T.

90 Legacy only has 1st gear
Greetings All, I just picked up a cheap 90 Legacy that has automatic transmission issues. It will not shift into reverse, 2nd, 3rd, or 4th. i.e., when I put the shift lever into D, the trans goes into first and will not shift up. Fluid is full and unburnt, and the TCU is not throwing codes. Any ideas on a fix? Thanks, Tom

Another Kudos to Emily@CCR and S-Wings!
rsthj replied to DrKrazy's topic in 1990 to Present Legacy, Impreza, Outback, Forester, Baja, WRX&WrxSTI, SVXCan you provide any details on this kit? Cost, pictures etc. I've done a temporary repair to mine but I'd like something permanent. Thanks much Tom

Well i killed it...(Updated!)
rsthj replied to simbey1982's topic in 1990 to Present Legacy, Impreza, Outback, Forester, Baja, WRX&WrxSTI, SVXI'm not convinced that the engine is dead. Rather, you may have gotten extremely lucky. Engines don't usually die instantly from lack of oil. Although it will do expensive damage, an engine can seem to run just fine w/no oil for a surprisingly long time. If oil was still pouring out and the idiot light never came on, chances are the engine never ran dry. I'd look for another source for the two dead cylinders (Coil?) and, assuming you find one, thank your stars it failed when it did; it caused you to notice the leak. Regards, Tom

Knocking noise, not good
rsthj replied to nebmaster's topic in 1990 to Present Legacy, Impreza, Outback, Forester, Baja, WRX&WrxSTI, SVXIs a cracked flex plate a reasonably common failure? I'm chasing a similar noise. Thanks, Tom

EJ22 Engine Differences Between '90 and '95?
rsthj replied to rsthj's topic in 1990 to Present Legacy, Impreza, Outback, Forester, Baja, WRX&WrxSTI, SVXThanks for the replies. Unfortunatly, some of the answers conflict. Has anyone ever compiled a history of the ej engine series? I'm sure the info is out there but I can't seem to find it. Thanks, Tom

EJ22 Engine Differences Between '90 and '95?
Greetings Subaru Gurus, I need to replace the engine in my '90 Legacy and have found a wrecked low mileage '95 that is a potential donor. Both have EJ22 engines but I believe there was a change between '94 and '95. Could anyone fill me in on the issues faced (if any) when making this transplant? Thanks much. Tom
