ok i get 22mpg no matter what acetone or not .......but the acetone makes your exhaust smell like your burning old fuel well a little i donno .................myth busted

i made mine out of stainless from an ice machine

i pulled this scout about 30 miles it pulled good but on turns you had to go really slow (like stop) other wise it would push you rear end around

theres a temp sensor that tells the engie to lean out i think im not sure exactly how the system works but it could be giving you problems
also check for vacume leaks

turn it over by hand for all we know the guy driving it could of ran out of oil or any thing is possible
put you a ratchet on the bolt on the in side of the crank pullyand gently roll it over if it dosnt want to move pull your plugs and put about a teaspoon of penatrating oil down into the cylnder and give it a while and try again

you said to tried to bump start it is that push starting
also if it laid down on previous owner theres more problems then bad cables/connections

thats it it was a tray from an ice machine i cut it down and weled it on it works great ram air dosent do as much as you think but it was fun and its great to look out and see the beautiful hood scoop.....ohhhhh....... stainlesssssss.........ohhhhhhhhh

i ahve one of those kits all sell it to yeah i mounted it the with the stereo on the bottom too. the blank (tray thing ) i used to mount switches for my lights

get your radiator rodded at a radiator shop its cheap and makes a good rad aout of a bad
one unless all your fins are gone :-\ -
get a bigger turbo off of ebay and a cv from orielys for 54 dollars .......... good deal .............. buy it ............ do it now...........

i dont have a k&n but i have a hood scoop
itdosnt really do much for ram-air effect, but it dose work as a cold air intake.
i used 4" drier hose to duct it in and cut out the back side of the can
and yes i put lights under there to

dose any one have pics ofthe engine compartment with a 3"+ lift.
i really want to do it but want to see how much room is aquired, and ability towork on it

yeah since i installed the lower tstat i noticed a high idle from the heat sencer. i run only the stock mechanical fan i removed the electric fan (i installed a radiatior out of a toyota tercel) it all stays nice and cold. now to only fake out that sensor would be great

Quick answer, probably either is OK.
Slightly longer answer, tight engine, light duty, 10-40 OK. BUT, if the engine smokes a little or will be towing or doing other hard duties - 10-50 might give you an edge.
Oh, never think an older engine doesn't deserve regular oil changes - even one that may burn some oil. Any indication that rings are worn/bad will also mean combustion products AND raw fuel are blowing by into the crankcase. So changing the oil will help remove those and keep the viscosity up.

im thinking of putting one on my suby like the one on my hood (stainless ice machine style) for better ac action(i was gonna duct it in to blow toward the seats (each one) under the head liner) couse i dont have one
