  1. Hi there Thanks very much for the quick reply I adjusted the tappets yesterday and beleive me it sounds like a new motor not one tappet ratling Im inpressed with that. But now I can hear every little sreak and pop.Im heading back to work tonight 344km up their I hope we make it with the cv the way it is .The cv that the boot has gone on is the one that attaches to the motor on the left hand side it,s funny because the noise is coming from the right hand front wheel are they hard to change for eg do you need any speical tools. Also is there a trick to quieting down the fuel pump on these subes
  2. Being a new owner just bought a 89 ute it,s got a few problems wonder if anyone can help, Firstly when I turn the wheel when backing out from anywhere I can hear this creaking sound .Secondly driving along the road the right hand front wheel constantly makes a scraping noise if the car is tilted to the left hand side of the road the noise disappears. If I,m driving along a straight road the noise from the wheel goes off and on accourding to acceleration if you jack the suby up off the ground with no load on it there is no creacking or no scraping. And thirdly when I release the cluth on take off or while the car is mobil if I put my foot on then off the accelerater there is a sharp clucking sound the engine mounts look fine to me it is a newly fitted motor I have noticed that the left hand back cv cover is broken and it feels a bit loose I am going to try and adjust the tappets it is a bit noisey I don,t have a mannual for the car are the tappets on both sides of the motor or just 1 side can anyone help at all I would appreicate any input.
