Hey all. I just replaced the bearing on the left rear of my 81 Brat, and I'm having the same problem I had before it was replaced, that being a shimmy that feels like the rear wheel is loose. It doesn't do it if you coast, only if power is applied. I re-tightened the axel nut, and I got about five miles before the problem returned. Anybody have experience with this? The Brat has about 265 thousand miles on it. Thanks.

Anyone interested in a 1-barrel Carter carb? I ordered a carb for my '81 Brat from an auto dismantler, and this is what I got, but it doesn't fit my car. I have sixty bucks into it, but that's negotiable. Also, anybody know of a good supplier for obsolete Subaru parts? I need a secondary air filter for my '81 Brat. It's part of emissions control. Anybody have any experience with these? Can I just bypass the thing? Thanks.

I ordered a carb for my 1981 Brat from a wrecking yard hotline and I end up with a Carter that this guy swears came from an 81 Brat. There is no way this thing will bolt on. Anybody know anything about these? Thanks.
