  1. $24,000 for an new Outback XT Ltd??? That's an insanely low price. That would mean the invoice + destination price is $26,000 which is thousands of dollars less than the quotes I've seen. Maybe you are talking about the Forester?
  2. Really? Where? My dealer said it was $1,000 for the XT, $1,500 for the 2.5i. And, if you don't mind me asking, what did you end up paying for your XT (not limited, I'm assuming)?
  3. Does anyone have any hard data on what the invoice price is on these vehicles? I'm getting conflicting data from the various internet sites and what the dealer is presenting. Any info would be GREATLY appreciated, as I'm in the market for one of these fine, fine vehicles. Thanks.
  4. Indeed. I was very close to buying a 2004 a year ago, but when I saw the 2005 they had on the lot, I decided it was worth it to wait awhile and try to get a slightly used 2005. Looks better, better clearance. Oh, and the addition of the XT line.
  5. Thanks for the reply, Brian. That certainly makes sense. I take it Subaru hasn't made any formal announcement then.
  6. I'm fixin' to buy a 2005 Outback XT. Does anyone know if there is even going to be a 2006 Outback? I've noticed there is a 2006 Forester and Tribeka, but I can't find any info on the 2006 OUtback. Basically, I want to know what, if any, differences there will be between the 2005 and 2006 models. And it would be nice to know when the 2006's will start to arrive on dealers' lots. Anyone have any info?
