Hi all. You guys are a wealth of information. Thanks for your advice in advance. I have the infamous "loose harmonic balancer" problem and need to replace. How do I keep the engine from spinning while tightening the bolt? My dealer said the proper torque for the bolt is 130 +/- 7 ft-lb. I need to prevent engine rotation while putting that torque on it. Is there an inspection plate for the torque converter somewhere where I can wedge something in? Thanks.

Hi all. New to the message board. I have a '98 legacy outback and have the classic oil pump seal leak (need to replace the "black" seal with the updated "brown" seal). My question is pretty simple -- is the bolt which holds the drive pulley on the front of the crankshaft a standard right hand thread or a left-hand thread? It is damn tight and I do not want to tighten it even more with the impact wrench. Thanks.
