looking to put on a turbo exhaust... thinking 3in piping but is that too big? 2 1/2 better?

hey I'm looking to put a turbo exhaust on my wrx and need some info... so probaby 3 in downpipe and exhaust...and what else do I need/suggestions.... plus cant afford a whole lot so any suggestions and brands with quality????

So I'm thinking of getting 18 inch wheels with falkon 225/40.. I know these would be good for autocrossing but what about drag racing? any suggestions on this would be helpfull..
