My daughter's 1989 Justy which has been upgraded from the CVT tranny to a manual 5 speed [2WD only] just cuts off unpredictably at stoplights or when the idle drops below a certain point. It will just plummet to zero and quit.
This problem seemed to start a short time after the engine was pulled to work on the tranny. I beleive all the vacuum lines and hoses are connected OK. If that could be it does anyone have a detailed hose and connection diagram for the engine? But that might not be the problem at all!
I have heard of this problem. What could it be? It is unpredictable. Sometimes you can drive for miles with no problem and the next time you drive it may quit every time you prepare to stop or slow down.
Any ideas out there?
Thanks in Advance,
Slim
