  1. Hey there all you sub owners

Is there more than one kind of front axle shaft that can be put in to my '83 4 WD GL Wagon

I just had both of them replaced and was told that these are the new kind of shafts. He said they were like a "tripod" fit. So now everytime I start from a stop sign the whole car shakes, but smooths out when there isn't a load on it. You have any ideas thanks

My current progress on the t-coup, is seen on the above link. I had to find a replacement moter as the previous moter pretty much killed it's self when it overheated. I will keep updating more pics as I do more work. Tomarrow I'm hopefully going to have the engine assembled and ready to drop in. What do ya guys think of that nice shiny engine block? huh? :brow:

Looks great!! An engine just waiting to be rebuilt and come alive once again.

I have decided to keep the car engine in there. I do have a tech. question...

Is it normal for the engine to lose oil pressure when going up a hill.

If I let up on the gas, the press wants to climb, or so it is indicated.

Is it time to change the oil pump, and or is it time to change other things also while I'm at it.

Hope you all are doing good with your other Subs.....

Shades are on with all of this rain in the NW. Thanks

  5. What part of Sumner/Bonney Lake are you in?

The direct applications would be 80-84 wagon, sedan and coupes. 81-89 hatchbacks and 82-87 Brats. Many people have swapped in other engines but you are talking major modifications. Just depends on what you want to end up with.

Sorry for not writting sooner. but I live right off the hiway, just past the Puyallup river.
