  1. The mechanic replaced the drivers side axle again under warranty and its quiet and smooth on accel and hills. Thanks again for the support. Glad i persisted. Cheers, Scott
  2. Thanks for the support fellas. I took it into the shop (canadian tire - yes i cheaped out) and the mechanic apparently drove it around and couldn't find the click, so did nothing. I then drove him around and showed him the knocks on acceleration and up hills. He said he'll order in some more axles and replace them again (however I have no control on where he gets the axles from b/c its under warranty), so hopefully the problem gets fixed. I won't be using canadian tire again. I'll letcha know what happens. -S
  3. hi all, I have a 92Legacy AWD sedan and I recently had the front half-axles replaced because of the classic clicking sound was getting louder when cornering. When driving out of the shop, it was much better. However; within a couple weeks some similar clicking has returned but now its upon acceleration and up-hills. Does anyone think this has to due with: 1) the half axles/CVs were refurbished, rather than new to save cost (ie has anyone had problems with refurb axles/CVs??) 2) a poor job of installation 3) another non-CV related issue And lastly can anyone suggest some troubleshooting tips? Thanks!!
