  1. I did search but didn't find much. So thanks for the info.
  2. What is the Weber Carb that you guys use on the EA82 and how much trouble is it to hook everything up to it. Also got and idea of how much they cost. Thanks Mike
  3. The turbo motor came out and 86 and don't know year on mine it's a used jap motor. I live at high altatude. just looking for a way to get more air. Was hoping the turbo cam had longer duration than stock carb cam.
  4. ok what is the differance. just trying to make it breath better
  5. Is there a differance between the cans on the turbo motor and the carb motor on EA82. If there is would the turbo cams work Better on my EA82 then stock. I have the carb motor in mine Thanks Mike
  6. Really didn't think it would work. Anybody want to buy the hole torbo setup. intak manifold. trobo everything is on the motor even have the catalitc converter
  7. I was given and 86 EA82 motor with a trobo was wondering if anyway I can hook up the trobo on my EA82 mines carb with out the computer. This motor has a cracked block or head water in oil. If not I will sell trobo and intake manifold ,exust pipe and all. Thanks Mike
  8. ok when rotated 360 the left side cam gear is points down at 6 oclock and then I line up the right side. Using the three marks on the flywheel for both sides. just as the book says. Mike
  9. This has got me stumped. Got low compression on right bank 1 and 3. I have checked the timing belts and everything lines up as it should. Just took it apart again and all marks line up. Did left side and rotated 360 and line up right side to marks. It sounds like it's leaking on exust valves was wondering about moving can one tooth advance on valve gear. I collapsed the lifters and they pumped up after it ran a while so they should not be pushing valve down to far. As i said I'm stumped help and ideas might help. Mike PS This is on and EA82 carb motor:mad:
  10. Did a search on here and can't find what my compression should be on my EA82 carb motor. can't find it either in my book. Did a valve job and it's worse now.
  11. From what I have been reading the spfi pistons will up my compresson. Going to rebild my EA82 and was wanting to get a little more out of it without spending to much. It only had 208k on it. Also do then make then over size might have to bore the cyclenders. and what kind of price am I looking at for the pistons. Mike
  12. ok thanks for all the advice. It got me thinking and used my air ratchet till they spun real easy then used my electric drill will a socket and spun them till they got hot and came right out. Think i will use a longer bolt with washers and self locking nut. Thanks to all Mike:grin:
  13. Tried to take bolts off timing cover and they are spinning. The metal in the back cover has broke lose. Any ideas how to get the covers off without breaking something. thanks Mike
  14. What is the hp of a stock EA82 carbed
  15. like I said I have flushed out the heater core and have good flow through it. The Chilton book I have doesn't tell me what servo does what. The heater hose's are hot. As far as the vac goes everything works there all the buttons work and change to what they are suppose to do. If there is anything I can by pass to get heat I will do that. Just have to have heat when it's down to 14 degrees. IF anybody has a good heater diagram and can email it to me I can use it. Thanks Mike
