Howdy all,

 

I did a search but didn't see what I was looking for.

 

The '91 Legacy 2.2 blew a head gasket. While I've got the heads off, I'm going to replace the valve seals. Will a regular valve spring compressor work? Is a special tool needed for the valve seals?

If you have the heads off take them to a machine shop and have them dipped and milled. They can also replace the seals and guides, and lap the valves, and check the heads for cracks. All for ~ $150 plus parts.
