Has any one used there Rims on ther Impreza's? or any thoughts about them.

 

I have a Canadian version 2009 Impreza 2.5i Sport Sedan with Factory 16X6.5 rims. 205/55/16 Tires

 

Kal Tire is selling these Core Racing EVO-7 16X7 rims with a +40 offset.

 

I'm a bit worried about the +40 offset since most of the rims on Tirerack for my car have offsets around +48 to +50 for a 16X7 rim.

 

My plan is to use these rims with either Nokian Hakkapeliitta R or michelin xice xi2 tires for the winter.

That offset is a little low. I would suggest trying to find something with at least +45mm offset.

That's was what I thought from looking online at TireRack and on a few Subaru Message boards, but this guy at Kal Tire insists that +40 offset is ok. He said he has put them on Impreza's before but that really doesn't mean it is the proper wheel for the car just beacuse you can bolt it on.

Exactly. Just because it bolts on, doesn't mean it's correct.
