Had to change the battery in the Remote Starter keyfob and unless I managed to disconnect something while under the hood it still doesn't work. Does anyone know if there is a procedure to "reset" the system? I bought the car used so it didn't come with any info for the Remote Starter. Thanks ALL!

Why were you under the hood to change the key fob battery?

 

What does the system do when you try to remote start? Does the remote have an LED that flashes when you push a button? Does the car respond at ALL when you push a button?

I was under the hood for other reasons. I thought I may have disconnected a wire but I tried it in the garage this morning and the remote starter worked. However I tried it later in the afternoon and it didn't work again. Usually when I push the button twice, the running lights flash before the stater kicks in. They didn't this afternoon. I do think that direct sunlight interferes with the signal, but I pulled it back into the garage, closed the door and tried it again. No luck. And yes, the LED on the fob does light up when I push the button.
