88 gl ea82 weird smoking

Featured Replies

hey so my gl is doing somthing that i have never seen. so the other day i went out wheeling in the sub, when i was tillted in a downword postion it starts blowing smoke out the exhaust and burns alot of oil, then when i drive a mile or two it stops smoking, any ideas.

it sucked oil up in the pcv system. take a fast, sweeping right turn and io bet it will do the same. consider replacing the PCV valve if it keeps doing

The right turn is what does it for me, Subaru a long time ago even offered an "upgrade" to fix that, which is just a larger tube going to one side of the PCV to not make it suck in the oil. I keep one of my cars that way so I can "James Bond" my freeway entrance. I've successfully shut down 4 lanes of traffic, and haven't clogged the catalytic yet. The engine bog kinda sucks, but no one is really catching up to you, as they can't see.... Heh.
