Where's the black connectors

Featured Replies

My 91 Liberty (Aussie Legacy) is showing the Check engine light sometimes shortly after starting. I decided to read the ECU, was able to find the green plug but not the black plug. Are these in a different spot in the Australian cars. Ian

As I recall, the black and green connectors are close together. Mine were covered with electrical tape and not easy to see. I doubt if yours is in a different place.

They are definitely up there, Ian. They may be rolled into other parts of the wiring harness. Mine were a real pain to find the first time too. They weren't taped over.

Remove the plastic panel below the steering column, five screws I think, it will allow more light in, and get you a better view of all the spaghetti :D

AHA, found it it was near the transmission tunnel with the yellow diagnostic plug. I think my troubles have just started I have 35, 11 and 12 flashing. I've reset the ECU so I'll see what remains. Thanks Ian:(

Thanks Josh found it in the cold light of day. Why are the bits you have to replace always in the most difficult spots.
