Welcome, welcome! Looks like you have already started getting familiar with the site which is great! Get to know the search content as it can be very helpful and save time on repeating a question that may have already been asked. Just kick off your shoes and enjoy!

If your in the Tri-Cities as in Richland, Kennewick etc.. then expect a 2 hour drive to any real camping with pine tree's.. short of developed parts along the river. There are some back country roads, personal hide outs in the desert that you can go with friends etc..

If your into pine trees than try Tucannon area. Drive out above Camp Wooten to the Panjab North Camp grounds, there are camping spots along the Tucannon River. Up about 14 miles from "Last Resort KOA" there are some primitave places that are great. A short cut is to cut out of Dayton and take "Hartsock Grade"

More above Yakima, Ellensburg or go out into the Blues etc...

Also, plan on attending WCSS #12 at the end of August... you and g/f will enjoy it. It is held up in Cashmere this year and woth the effort.
