84-Hatch.

Drivers side seat belt stopped retracting so I pulled the panel, sprayed Silicone into sides of belt coil and tapped on it with a wrench and it started to work again... then I.... yea.. I should have left good enough alone.. then I figure I better pull it out and in, out and in and on the third out.. it wouldn't retract... unbolted from car, rattled it, tapped on the side.. shook beat.. and it won't budge...

 

any fix or should I jump to the wanted section for a new drivers side belt assembly?

WCSS-12... was so nice...

Check with the dealer to see if they will warranty it. Modern models get a lifetime warranty on the seatbelt but I don't know if the classics do.
