cruise control in 89 gl

Featured Replies

I have an 89 gl touring wagon parts car and it has factory cruise control. I was wondering. If there was anyway to use it on my 82 wagon.

Thanks

Ryan

if you want to try to cutdown or hybris a harness, i dont see why not, if you understand schematics and electrical.

Some cars came with a dealer installed option, the unit is standalone, and that wold work if you found one at the junkyard.

Yeah, this is factory and integrated into the steering wheel. So i figured i would have to use the whole steering wheel, but i dont even know if the steering wheels are interchangeable. But i know enough about electrical to get by, Im just unsure if cruise from an spfi car will work on a carb car. Also i don't know what vacuum parts i may need but Im pretty sure cruise uses vacuum.
