79' BRAT Carpet question

K after much looking i can't seem to find a molded carpet that will fit a 79' BRAT.

 

But I have found on JC whitney carpet for the gen 2 brats does anyone know if the 2 are interchangeable.. my gut tells me no... why else would they specify 82'-86 BRAT. Figured i'd ask though.

 

If not my next option is to buy some non-molded marine carpet and lay that in which sounds like it will be tons o' fun anyone have any tips that may help me from loosing hairs from my already thinning hairline?
