92 loyale 4WD Vaccume Diagram?

Featured Replies

:banghead::banghead:ok i have just transplaneted a 2.5L impreza engine into my loyale. i have it all

running and everything works, Tach, Speedo, Temp gauge, Oil Pressure, etc. I cant seem to find a a vaccume line diagram for the 4WD activation. everything is connceted to the cannister and the lines are ran until the exchange unit right next to the stock oil pressure gauge, then it goes into a vacc. sensor of some kind and has a outlet of two lines accros from a another set of two They are green inlets and the vacc. lines run from the cannister to these two vacc. inlets. and this is where i am stuck. i am looking on how to runs these line to make the 4WD work. im pretty sure it has been done before so i am just looking for some advice or how somebody else has done it. its a push button S/R 4wd 5 speed and there are just two vaccume lines that were disconnected right in front of the stock oil pressure sending unit. i have a phase 2 2.5l SOCH engine out of a 02 impreza rs.

thanx for all of ur useful advice and i hope somebody has done this before.

the lines should be going from the side of the trans to the furewall on the driver side. thse lines did not have to come off, unless you removed the trans. the 4wd is vacuum operated by a push-pull diaphragm, whose vacuum is controlled by an on-off solenoid

OK i figured it out. there is a diaphram with two vacuum lines that are mounted on the side of the 5 Speed Transmission. these two lines off of the side and bottom of the diaphram route up next to the oil pressure sending unit to a vacuum sensor with two other vacuume lines that route back to the pressure tank on the passenger side below the window, and then when all lines are connected and working the vacuum initiates the transmission shift into 4WD.

Worked for me just make sure you dont get the lines backwards or it wont full activate it will seem like it wants to but wont. i just swapped the lines and worked perfect.
