Problem identifying fitting below thermostat on intake

Featured Replies

I found a rusted/clogged fitting below my thermostat housing on my intake as I'm trying to clean it and replace all hoses. I didn't label it so I think it was previously disconnected.

Can anyone recognize this (the rusted end off the bottom of the housing in the pic) and let me know where it should connect?

Many thanks!

Little sucker was plugged shut, as was the small hose from the steel pipe behind the intake that comes through to the front of it... 5/32" coolant hose is not easy to come by. Guess manufacturers got smart about using such small lines prone to getting plugged.
